The Kisii School/Orphanage for the Deaf, in Kenya, was established in 1997 Peter O. It then became known as “Peter’s Orphanage.” Since 2006, he’s struggled greatly. Peter has had to consolidate the boys and girls dorm into one, and has not been able to purchase new clothes or school books for the orphans.
Due to the post-election violence in the beginning of 2008, the orphanage has grown from 15 orphans to 30. They currently have only 4 beds, so most of the orphans have to sleep on the ground.
After my second visit to the orphanage in the summer of 2008, I was humbled when they renamed it “Lance’s Deaf Orphanage School”. It is now my mission to minister to them in any way I can. But I can not do this alone.
